Join us for a vibrant celebration of Black History through literature and art, featuring award-winning children's book illustrator R. Gregory Christie. Hosted by Baldwins Literary Social, this event promises a rich tapestry of activities celebrating African-American culture and creativity.

Highlights of the event include:

1. Author Appearance: R. Gregory Christie, renowned for his captivating illustrations in award-winning children's books, will be on-site with over 40 different titles for sale with additional stationery and prints.  Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with him, gain insights into his creative process, and learn about his journey as an illustrator.

2. Art Workshops: Dive into the world of illustration with hands-on art workshops led by Gregory Christie himself.  Mr. Christie will conduct a book-binding workshop for kids aged 6-12 at 3 pm.

3. Film Screening: Catch a screening of "Dancing in the Light and Flying Free," animated by Mr. Christie.

4. Cultural Book Sales: Browse through a curated selection of literary works celebrating Black history, culture, and achievements. From children's books adorned with Gregory Christie's illustrations to seminal works by acclaimed Black authors, the cultural book sales offer something for readers of all ages and interests.
